Our playlist from October should be a fun one to listen to while driving upstate. We’ll definitely have it on next Friday on our road trip up the Hudson to film some local makers. Seriously, that cover of Wrecking Ball?!
THEY loves typography, and believes you can never educate yourself too much about good type design. This infographic designed by Meg Robichaud is not only well designed but goes into great detail about type throughout history, its anatomy, the costs of popular typefaces, statistics regarding type, etc. Long story short, THEY just loves type and a good infographic and Robichaud combined the two beautifully. You can check out her other infographics as well as her logo work and illustrations on her website linked above.
One thing all of the THEYs have in common is our undying love and adoration for our furball friends. There are always 2+ dogs hanging out (or more likely snoozing) at the studio at one time. The slobber, they snore, they high-five, and they remind us when to take breathers from the serious stuff.
We recently took 3 of the dogs to off-leash in Prospect Park and did a little slow motion shooting. The thrill of having the ability to shoot 240fps on our phones is sure to fade soon, but until then we will find all the things that look awesome/hilarious at this speed. Like dogs.
If you are interested in adopting a dog (or cat, or bird, etc), check out our incredible local rescue organization in Brooklyn, Sean Casey Animal Rescue.
If you are specifically interested in Greyhounds, Bella (in the video) came from Greyhound Angels in New Jersey. They specialize in placing retired racing dogs into their forever homes.
Adopting dogs is the greatest thing ever. <3
In June, THEY was hired to shoot for the Ford Foundation up in Vermont. It ended up being a fantastic two day work trip where we got to explore the Sustainable Food Lab and the surrounding community, cameras in hand. What we shot in Vermont is just a small part of a bigger conversation which you can read about over at the Ford Forum. Check out the video below!
The Sustainable Food Lab is helping companies like Keurig Green Mountain address the needs of the small holder farmers who grow their coffee–and understand that improving farmer livelihoods is good business. – Ford Foundation
